BALTIMORE — In a game that featured Guardians hitters and relievers picking up starting pitcher Shane Bieber after some early struggles, it was perhaps a missed opportunity at the plate in the first inning that provided the necessary motivation for slugger Josh Naylor in Cleveland's 12-8 victory against the Orioles. With one out and José Ramírez at third base, Naylor grounded weakly up the first base line, missing a chance to add on a run after Ramírez had driven in Steven Kwan for the game's first score.
